Bam Construction has won a 拢25m contract to build a new factory for Rolls-Royce in Rotherham.

A spokesman confirmed the contractor has been appointed to the job to build a 42,000 sq ft plant to manufacture turbine blades for jet engines.

He said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 very significant for us because we have not got a pre-existing relationship with Rolls-Royce.

鈥淚t gives us an opportunity to impress them.

鈥淚t is not just this job for us 鈥� it鈥檚 an opportunity to show Rolls-Royce what BAM can do as a contractor.鈥�
