Framework involves the construction of 1,800 new homes in South Kilburn

Contractors Ardmore and Mulalley have won places on a 拢137m development framework to build 1,800 homes in South Kilburn, London.

Both firms will work in joint ventures with developers 鈥 Ardmore with First Base and Mulalley with One Housing.

The other bidders to win places on the framework are developer London and Quadrant as well as housing associations Catalyst Housing Group, Genesis Housing Group and Network Housing Group.

More than 11 sites have been earmarked for development in the area including Durham Court, Bronte House, Fielding House and Queens Park Roundabout.

The London Borough of Brent will hold a mini-competition among the framework partners to build and manage the development sites.

South Kilburn is in the top 5% most deprived areas in England and has been designated by the government as a key area for regeneration.
