According to 好色先生TV鈥檚 sister title 好色先生TV Design, the firm, whose initials stand for 鈥橣ashion Architecture Taste鈥, said it would stop trading after it completed its work on the British Pavilion for next year鈥檚 Venice Biennale and A House for Essex, the fairytale cottage the firm is designing in collaboration with artist Grayson Perry.

FAT was set up 23 years ago by Sean Griffiths, Charles Holland and Sam Jacob.

In a statement, the firm鈥檚 directors told BD: 鈥淔AT has provided the three of us with the most extraordinary platform for creative collaboration.

鈥淲e have enjoyed our 23 years together and want to end our union on a high with two typically FAT projects.鈥

As well as buildings, the firm has worked on installations, interiors and masterplans, with schemes including The Blue House in Hackney, the BBC Drama production village in Cardiff for Igloo (pictured), and New Islington in Manchester for Urban Splash.

According to BD, the firm鈥檚 directors will remain in architecture along with their roles in writing and education.
