Acquisistions from Quercus group will expand Amec Spie's regional network around Lyon and the Alps.
Amec has strengthened its French arm with the acquisition of five maintenance and mechanical services in the Quercus Group.
The acquisitions for Amec Spie, for an undisclosed sum, include C Tram, Permi, Eurosept, Gami Services and Andre. The firms employ a total of 180 people, and had a combined turnover of £8.1m million in 2005.
This acquisition expands Amec Spie's regional network around Lyon and the Alps, and is part of a strategy to expand its multitechnical regional services network.
It is Amec Spie's first acquisition in 2006 and follows the addition of heating, ventilation and air conditioning services business Domec SA, electrical installations company Javalet, electrical engineering firm PK, IT management company Fast Maintenance Informatique and 49% of nuclear engineering business Game Nucleaire in 2005.
