Cheryl McCall has been at business more than 18 years

Aecom has confirmed that its chief financial officer for the UK and Ireland Cheryl McCall is going after more than 18 years at the business.

According to documents filed at Companies House, the 46-year-old stepped down as a director at the end of last month.

Aecom worked on several of the NHS Nightingale hospitals that were built earlier this year

An Aecom spokesperson said McCall was leaving for personal reasons.

In August, the firm said it was cutting 500 jobs just days after its UK chief executive David Barwell left the top role after 20 years at the business.

The consultant said the figure amounted to around 7% of its 7,000 UK and Ireland staff who work out of around 40 offices, including its London headquarters at Aldgate.
