Camden council has delayed until early March a decision on whether to grant planning permission for Argent's £1.5bn scheme to redevelop King's Cross Central.

The developer submitted amendments to its original plans last September, but insiders at both the council and the developer confirmed a conclusion had been delayed because of the massive workload associated with the project. If approved, the mixed-use scheme will be London's largest regeneration project for more than a century, with 743,000 m2 of homes, offices and retail on 27 ha around the station.
