Camden council has delayed until early March a decision on whether to grant planning permission for Argent's 拢1.5bn scheme to redevelop King's Cross Central.

The developer submitted amendments to its original plans last September, but insiders at both the council and the developer confirmed a conclusion had been delayed because of the massive workload associated with the project. If approved, the mixed-use scheme will be London's largest regeneration project for more than a century, with 743,000 m2 of homes, offices and retail on 27 ha around the station.
