Skanska has been appointed to deliver the southern section of parklands in the Olympic park
The contract, believed to be worth more than £10m, will include the London 2012 garden, which will stretch for half a mile between the aquatics centre and Olympic stadium. The parklands, designed by LDA Design and US landscape architect Hargreaves Associates, will include markets, events and cafes in legacy. Work is scheduled to begin in early 2010.
