Cornish firm had signed an agreement with government to be one of the first to roll out the Green Deal
Pioneering Green Deal firm Enact Energy has entered administration, with 29 employees made redundant.
The Cornish firm has appointed accountants Begbies Traynor to handle the administration.
Enact had been one of 22 companies to sign a deal with the government to be the first providers of its flagship scheme last April. The list nalso included contracting giants such as Carillion, Keepmoat and Willmott Dixon.
In October, Enact won a 拢100m job with the Residential Landlords Association to provide Green Deal work to its members.
Enact was founded in 1996 and has worked with over 100 local authorities to offer energy improvements to local people.
The firm鈥檚 clients have included Tesco and M&S.
The firm also provided solar electricity installations and boiler upgrades.
In a statement administrators Ian Walker and Christopher Norman said that 29 staff had been made redundant due to the company鈥檚 insolvency.
鈥淭he company has retained some of its employees to assist the joint administrators in conducting an orderly winding down of the company鈥檚 affairs.
鈥淭he joint administrators will now attempt to source a purchaser for some or all of the company鈥檚 business undertakings and assets.鈥�
Speaking to 好色先生TV, Norman added: 鈥淲e have had expressions of interest and what we intend to do now is send out preliminary information on the company.鈥�
