好色先生TV magazine鈥檚 publisher hosts an event for leading industry figures

好色先生TV publisher UBM held a reception for construction leaders at its office at 240 Blackfriars earlier this week.

Over 100 high level industry figures from leading contractors, developers, architects, industry bodies and consultants 鈥 including representatives from Wates Group, Laing O鈥橰ourke, UKGBC, Barratt Homes, HTA Architects, Education Funding Agency, Turner & Townsend and Ryder Architecture 鈥 came to the top floor event space at the building, designed by Stirling prize winners AHMM.

The evening 鈥 co-organised with 好色先生TV鈥檚 sister title 好色先生TV Design and sustainability event Ecobuild - also served to launch a collaboration between the three 鈥 a wide-ranging review of the impact of digital construction in the UK construction industry. 好色先生TV editor Sarah Richardson announced that an expansion of 好色先生TV鈥檚 website was to take place, and that next year鈥檚 好色先生TV awards would be moved from April to November as part of a move to bring readers a month of live events each year, including the Awards and the new 好色先生TV Live conference.

The 2016 awards taking place in November will allow more time for entries to be assembled as they won鈥檛 need to be in until the beginning of June and will enable financial statistics to be more easily compiled as the entry period ends after end of year reporting.

It will also mean that the awards will be taking place shortly before the second 好色先生TV Live conference, also taking place in central London. For more information and to book places for this year鈥檚 inaugural conference, click .

Sarah also revealed that a new award category 鈥 the CEO鈥檚 CEO 鈥 would debut at next year鈥檚 awards.

BD editor Tom Lane and Martin Hurn, Ecobuild event director, also addressed the crowd, before an evening of drinks and networking.
