Attention now turns to second phase of £30m overhaul
Work has completed on the first phase of a £30m revamp of the Old Vic theatre near Waterloo in London.
The revamp, which was designed by Bennetts Associates, was managed for client, the Old Vic Theatre Trust, by Buro Four and Plann.
Work has involved building a new entrance on Waterloo Road, while the Penny basement bar and cafe has also been redesigned.
A new foyer and Box Office have been included as part of the grade II-listed building’s overhaul.
The second phase of the theatre’s redevelopment will be a £12m cultural hub adjacent to the theatre, which will be called The Annex.
