Architect Buckley Gray Yeoman behind designs for retailer’s Manhattan outpost
Buckley Gray Yeoman has completed work on a new shop for clothing brand Fred Perry in New York.
The store will be the retailer’s flagship in North America and has involved turning a former antiques shop at Broome Street in Lower Manhattan into a 700ft2 space with exposed brickwork and reclaimed wooden cabinetry.
The architect has been working with the British fashion brand for the past 10 years including its stores in Stockholm, Seoul, Munich and Bangkok as well as Fred Perry’s head office at Mount Pleasant in London.
Others to work on the Manhattan scheme, which opened earlier this month, included project manager KMB, Czech joinery contractor Rizlly and local architect Dyami.
