4.20PM Mouchel Parkman buys project manager for 拢11m

Stan Hornagold and David Hills have sold their project management company to support services firm Mouchel Parkman for 拢11.4m. Hornagold & Hills was owned by 12 partners.

Hills, former managing partner at Hornagold & Hills, has been made managing director of newly acquired operation, which keeps its name but becomes part of Mouchel鈥檚 management consultancy division. Hornagold, who was senior partner, has been made a director within the management consultancy division. He will focus on the Thames Gateway.

Hills said: 鈥淔or us this presents an opportunity to work off a far wider platform of opportunity and with a bigger resources pool.鈥 He said he hoped to increase business in both the UK and Middle East. Mouchel has offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Hornagold & Hills has a 拢13m turnover, 170 staff, five offices and works in 17 sectors. Hornagold founded the company in 1987 and was joined by Hills in 1989.

The firm鈥檚 current commissions include a 拢100m programme management job for the Royal Shakespeare Company to transform their theatres at Stratford-upon-Avon. Its client lists includes British Airways, BAA, BBC, Pfizer and Transport for London.

Mouchel Parkman has also bought software provider Traffic Support 拢26.3m and water and waste utilities consultant Ewan Group for 拢11m.

Mouchel Parkman chief executive Richard Cuthbert said: 鈥淗ornagold & Hills was 鈥渙ne the most respected names in project and programme management in the UK鈥. He said the deal brough his firm access to commercial property and corporate end-user sectors, whiles also strengthening Mouchel鈥檚 consultancy offering in its existing public sector and regulated industry marketplace.
