PLF’s portfolio is a tribute to the art and craft of bricklaying
PLF
Projects Chorlton High School, Manchester; Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire; Wrightington Hall Hotel, Wigan, Lancashire
Anyone scrutinising the multiple entries in this category would have been delighted at the consistently high standards of brickwork that prevailed. Picking a winner was therefore not easy but, in the end, the judges gave the award to PLF. Its projects displayed a high degree of skill and consistency throughout. The crispness of detailing at Chorlton High School, Manchester, sings through in an attractive banded yellow brick development and similar high standards apply at the Royal Preston Hospital. And at the Wrightington Hall Hotel, Preston, there is some precise work at the quoins and razor-sharp cutting of bricks around bull’s-eye windows.
PLF’s portfolio is a tribute to the art and craft of bricklaying and as such the company is a deserved winner of the award.
