Brett Martin Daylight Systems has launched the next generation of its Mardome rooflights for flat roofs.
Trade is the standard dome rooflight, which has low-rise glazing and an energy-efficient design with less risk of condensation. Mardome Ultra is fixed using Brett Martin’s Trade-plus a secret fixing system, which uses a silver anodised aluminium frame.
The Mardome Hilite combines the benefits of Trade and Ultra, and offers a streamlined vertical internal kerb for sleek interior aesthetics as well as increased daylight levels.
All Mardomes have good thermal properties. Single, double, triple or quadruple skin polycarbonate glazed units can be specified with the option of double-glazed or argon-filled glass to further improve thermal efficiency and acoustics, or a 25mm multi-wall polycarbonate liner, which is a cost-effective way of improving the thermal efficiency. Triple-skinned Mardome rooflights on a kerb achieve an overall U-value of 1.4W/m2K and double-glazed glass inner glazing achieves a U-value of 0.95W/m2K, far exceeding the requirements of Part L.
