Advance Construction Services has developed the Adjustable Kicker, a formwork support for concrete pours up to 600 mm deep. The unit has been designed for quick and easy attachment to wood and steel formwork and can be adjusted for slopes and angles. The reusable unit is made from steel and can be folded flat for storage.

PMP has introduced the Viceroy range of sectional cast-iron radiators up to 3.6 m long for commercial and domestic applications. Manufactured in traditional styles, the 13 models range in height from 280 mm to 980 mm and in four depths from 70 mm to 250 mm.

LB Plastics has launched a PVCu tilt-and-turn mock sash and four-chamber reversible window system. The firm claims that the four-chamber design increases thermal efficiency by 10-15% and the tilt-and-turn model allows occupants to escape in case of fire, thus satisfying Part B of the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Regulations.

Ultraframe has launched the Wentworth conservatory roofing system for roofs set at a 20º pitch. The modular system uses 35 mm thick opal polycarbonate glazing panels that are said to offer a U-value of 1.5 W/m2ºC. The manufacturer claims that the system can be installed straight from the box onto timber, PVCu or aluminium frames.

Frontier-Pitts has introduced a range of hydraulic bollards to control vehicle access to restricted areas. Retracted, the units can withstand loads up to 17 tonnes. The fixed section of the bollard is set into a 1250 mm deep concrete foundation, with the bollard rising a further 600 mm. The firm also offers 450 and 900 mm high models.

Mumford & Wood has launched a range of gothic casement windows and French doorsets. The casements are available in module sizes from 617 mm to 2336 mm wide. There is no restriction on the height of the window or door panel.

Dimplex has introduced a range of electric panel radiators with two complementary heat sources – a radiant source to direct the heat and a convector source to warm the room. The Calidou range comes complete with a thermostat and an optional plug-in programmer to give a choice of up to seven preset heating programmes. The unit is splashproof for use in bathrooms, with a lockable dust cover to protect the controls.

Greenwich yacht club, London se10 Constructed as part of the Millennium Village development – the club’s original accommodation was in the way of the proposed coach park for the Millennium Dome – the two-storey clubhouse is one of three new buildings designed for the yacht club by architect Frankl & Luty. The clubhouse is perched 45 m above the river on a disused jetty whose previous occupant was a large cargo crane. The building contains offices, meeting rooms and a bar.
