Lindner and Lindner Schmidlin have supplied and installed a range of products at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 for client BAA.
Some 7,500 bespoke glass panels were installed in terminals A and B, control tower, car park, railway station, lift towers and landside bridges. The glass was coated with a film to monitor the sunlight entering the building. The facades were constructed to withstand a bomb blast.
About 35,000m2 of the firm’s drop-and-slide ceilings were installed throughout the airport. Linder also supplied and installed curved raft floating and tubular ceilings, a floating ceiling effect lit by dual-coloured downlights and partition system LS137.
