Fed up with eager young pups at work who don鈥檛 know they鈥檙e born? Or had enough of hearing how it was back in the old days?
Email us with what鈥檚 bugging you about the other generations 鈥
People under 30 just don鈥檛 understand the downturn because they鈥檝e never experienced one. If you鈥檙e over 30 you might have seen one recession and if you鈥檙e over 40 you will have seen two. It nobody鈥檚 fault but it does create a divide, and it鈥檚 down to the older generations to let younger people know that the rules have changed.
For example, if you were a surveyor looking to get professionally qualified, before, you could have demanded that your employer give you the required experienced as fast as possible. Now, the employer might turn around and say, 鈥淪orry, but it鈥檚 going to take a bit longer, and you鈥檒l have to grin and bear it.鈥
The same goes for people wanting to change jobs. They would have been getting calls from recruitment agencies on a daily basis before but now it鈥檚 down to them to call the agencies, and they鈥檒l be getting a very different response when they do.鈥
