Arch Timber Protection has launched Vacsol FR treatment, a fire protection system for timber frame components during the construction phase

According to the company, Vacsol FR doesn鈥檛 prevent a fire from developing but it does slow down the burning process; this allows more time to evacuate the site and gives the fire services a greater chance to limit damage. As well as acting as a fire retardant, Vacsol FR also combines an effective preservative protection, the company says. Vacsol Aqua is an advanced water-based system that relies on the latest in biocidal technology. This ensures the framing timbers will have comprehensive protection against the threat of decay and insect attack.
