Leading international law firm, Eversheds LLP is delivering many of the most significant and complex regeneration projects across the United Kingdom for both developers and public agencies.
We regularly advise on strategic aspects to meet the aspirations of both public and private interests and we bring these forward in partnership by a combination of land, development expertise, resource and capability.
Our unparalleled experience of delivering major regeneration schemes means our seamless and seasoned team of experts have the ability to navigate the complex mosaic of procurement, state aid, partnership, tax, VAT and structuring issues that is integral to such projects.
Eversheds are the pioneers in the creation of public private partnerships acting in relation to joint venture partnerships established by One North East, North West Development Agency, East Midlands Development Agency with English Partnerships, Advantage West Midlands and Croydon Council (the first local authority to adopt the local asset backed vehicle approach).
We also work extensively with English Partnerships, the Regional Development Agencies and local authorities on local delivery structures including local housing companies - where we act on a number of the piloted schemes.
Eversheds advise leading regeneration investors including Igloo Regeneration, Muse, Urban Splash, ISIS, Langtree Group, St Modwen Properties and Cibitas Investments on their participation in public private partnerships which drive major strategic regeneration projects and portfolios as well as property companies including Land Securities, Hammerson, Modus, Wilson Bowden, Taylor Wimpey, Thornfield Properties plc, Lend Lease, English Cities Fund, Muse Developments, Castlemore Securities and St. Modwen Properties.
What will our Think sessions cover?
Eversheds LLP will be hosting two Forum panel discussions within the Invest UK area of Think:
Wednesday 7 May - lunchtime session
"Making investment and regeneration happen: the role of co-investment partnerships"
We will consider how co-investment partnerships between private investors / developers and public authorities can be created to deliver sustainable regeneration.
We will draw on our past and current involvement with co-investment projects to discuss the regeneration outputs that can be achieved through a public / private sector partnership approach.
Thursday 8 May - breakfast session
"Picking a winner - is regeneration a safe bet for institutional investors?"
We will discuss regeneration investment opportunities for institutional investors, challenging the notion that regeneration sites carry more risk than traditional greenfield or primary developments while offering a lower return on investment.
We will consider the results of recent studies into the returns available from regeneration projects, and the types of investment vehicles the property industry could offer to the institutions to increase their opportunities to invest in regeneration.
