TechStyle is a new large format suspended ceiling from Hunter Douglas Architectural Projects that is designed to meet the demand for high-performance acoustic absorption in applications such as open-plan offices while at the same time offering improved appearance
The lightweight and fire-resistant system uses panels up to eight times larger than normal, measuring 1200 x 2400 mm and 28 mm thick, while other sizes, such as 600 x 3600 mm, are also available to order.
The larger panel together with a reduction in the amount of grid system enhances appearance and strength of the ceiling, claims the company.
The hollow polyester and glass-fibre panels are effective in absorbing high levels of noise across all speech frequencies and weigh just 1.4kg/m2.
The system’s fire-resistance is certified as Class B s2 d0 (EC label), which means it can be used for a wide range of applications.
