The installation cost L1.1m, comprising 340 panels for full acoustic sound
Alco Beldan has completed one of the UK’s largest acoustic moveable wall projects for client Liverpool Convention Centre. The L1.1m scheme, in the heart of the city on the historic heritage waterfront, took 12 months to complete.
Alco supplied and installed 340 panels, constructing 34 walls ranging from three to 20 panels per wall across a 2,400m area. Additionally, 10 stacking areas were served by 1km of track, including main runs and transfer tracks. The firm chose a combination of 8m, 6m and 4.5m panels, with an acoustic rating of Rw55dB for the main conference area, which can be arranged into one, two, four or six rooms, each with full acoustics.
