Architect Ian Ritchie grabbed the headlines by pulling out of the design team for the Olympic village, but can ianritchiearchitects.co.uk make a big impression too?
Webmaster’s verdict
My first look at this site left me puzzled. ianritchiearchitects.co.uk has a cryptic homepage that appears almost empty – that is until you start exploring with your cursor. It becomes apparent that there is a wealth of content and, though gimmicky, the practice of content hunting with your mouse is executed well, urging you to probe. It also has a projects timeline which – when explored – really gives a good idea of the volume of projects the firm is responsible for.
Lots of content equals good indexation from search engines. At least it should if you don't hide it with clever scripts, which is what Ian Ritchie Architects has done. A rethink on site structure would help them get some more Yahoo love.
