A problem emerged with your announcement that the DCLG had withdrawn Part F guidance on the installation of trickle ventilators in replacement windows (6 October).
There can be contrary views over whether such ventilators are necessary for health, as discussed in recent DCLG studies. What is surprising, however, is that this change appears to have been made with minimal public consultation. Dates suggest that possibly even the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Regulations Advisory Committee was told, rather than asked. Equally surprising is the quiet way in which the news seems to have been released.
If this is the new way of doing business, can you see trouble ahead?
