I am a black architect and was surprised, disappointed and somewhat concerned that ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV’s cover page article on 16 September did not include any black or Indian graduates.

This, I am sure you will agree, is unacceptable considering the demographic make-up of London in particular and the country in general. It is a fact of life that these communities do exist within the UK and we do contribute positively. Hence, we should be engaged in such discourse.

All your article serves to perpetuate is the wrong notion that these professions are not for people like us, consequently creating additional barriers to the ones we already encounter as practitioners and that are entrenched within the industry as a whole.

It would be nice if from time to time we were acknowledged as present within these industries and our photographs appeared on the covers of your magazines while also being invited to participate in forward-looking ideas such as this.
