Jam tomorrow for the 3500 lucky city centre schools (7 April).

Sounds good, but why just for the city centre schools? We are a rural comprehensive school of 1800 students, split over two sites five miles apart. Our facilities, built in the 1960s/70s, are poor quality and have been identified by Essex council for £3.3m of priority building repairs. And yes, we are allocated just £226,000. Maybe Richard Bowker would like to consider forgoing his additional 20 staff with all their costs and look at a basic repairs and maintenance framework for rural schools.
