More needs to be done for SMEs

Regarding the story (www.building.co.uk, 2 July 2013) - fantastic, I鈥檒l bet this lot make a significant improvement to the bottom line and survivability of the industry鈥檚 SMEs.

Who鈥檚 paying for the expenses and the secretariat? This is just the same old political window dressing all over again.

What about our small and medium-sized contractors in the regions? I wonder when the business secretary is going to 鈥渆ngage鈥� with them and do something about procurement regimes that disenfranchise so many? No time soon I suspect.

Go on Mr Cable - go the extra mile!
