John Rowan & Partners’ head of retrofit on treasure hunting, the Temple Run app and the best groups on Linkedin
What is your favourite website?
My favourite website is which is an outdoor treasure hunting game where participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.
What is your worst digital habit?
Flicking through songs on my iPod, it means I listen to lots of bits of songs but never any in full!
iPhone/Blackberry/Android. Which side are you on?
I use a Blackberry which is great for work, but I can’t help feeling I should have an iPhone.
Are you into social networking? (Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook etc)
I am a regular user of LinkedIn, I find it very useful to learn about people I meet and find out who is talking to who. I also find some of the sustainability groups useful; they seem to have some of the best input from members.
Are you on Twitter? If so who do you recommend to follow?
I’m not on Twitter yet and not sure where I would begin, although with three daughters quickly growing up, I do feel like I need to get to grips with it soon!
What is your favourite app?
While I do like Temple Run, my favourite app is I am Reacher.
What is your preferred means of communication? (eg. Email, phone, face to face, text etc)
One to one is still best in my book, but when that’s simply not possible I’m a big user of Skype to chat with friends in New Zealand, Hungary, the US and Canada.
What did you last buy online?
I actually just bought a copy of a book called Transformation which is an illustrated history of the work by Urban Splash.
PC or Mac?
PC for me
Guilty pleasures: Most played tunes from iTunes/Spotify?
My most played tune is History Maker by Delirious.
