I think the appointment of Paul Morrell (27 November, pages 10-11) is an inspired move and I hope he gets his own way with the agenda for the sake of the industry at large

In my view he was the best QS of his generation and a very clear thinker with contacts that are wide and varied and at the top of the food chain. People listen to him when he speaks and he combines knowledge with humour which is always a good mix. The fact that he comes from a QS background also speaks volumes.
