PF2 is given the benefit of the doubt

useful

You ask if the government will ditch PF2 before it鈥檚 even been tested (Vote of no confidence, 17 May, page 22). I wouldn鈥檛 be so pessimistic. It will take time for a new procurement model to bed in. It makes sense to road-test one or two batches with an associated 鈥渁ggregator fund鈥, and then to roll it out to others. Otherwise there could be a delay in closing off the fund if the other batches take longer to come to market.

There is no doubt the procurement model will feel quite different for stakeholders like local authorities and schools though, as they will be very much at arm鈥檚 length in future.
