Window installation project fuses innovations in architecture with retail design
The RIBA is hitting the shops on London’s Regent Street this May with a new window installation project.
The Regent Street Windows Project includes 10 architect-led window installations that attempt to fuse architecture with innovations in retail design whilst working around the theme ‘cities of tomorrow’.
The project was initiated in 2010 and run by RIBA London as part of the London Festival Architecture 2010. This year the institution will work alongside the Regent Street Association.
Tamsie Thomson, director of RIBA London, said: “Our members are always keen to take their work to new places and this project showcases how collaborative working can add value across sectors and in unexpected sites.’
The exhibition will run from 9 until 29 May 2011.
