Capita Symonds Woolf in the process of drubbing Anders Elite

Nineteen teams from across the industry played some great competitive rugby at this year's rain-drenched Construction Rugby Sevens, held last Sunday at the Richmond Athletic Association Ground.

The eventual winners, Capita Symonds Woolf, triumphed over Anders Elite 28-7 to take the Cup; the Plate Competition was won by Turner & Townsend, who beat Cass Business School.

The event was organised by recruitment consultant Hays Property and Construction in association with ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV. Pinsent Masons and London Irish were the sponsors of the event, which, together with other sporting events, raised £20,000 for the Lighthouse Club benevolent fund.

The trophies were presented by Ian Robertson, the UK's best-known rugby commentator.

Among this year's attractions was a visit from Digger, the London Irish team mascot, who entertained the younger members of the crowd.

Other firms taking part included Taylor Woodrow, HBG, Pinsent Masons, EC Harris and Clancy Docwra, who knocked out ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV in the quarter final of the cup.
