Blaze strikes under-construction skyscraper
The Russian skyscraper set to be Europe鈥檚 tallest building has been hit by a huge mystery blaze.
Fire broke out some 250m above ground level at the under-construction Federation Tower in Moscow on Monday evening.
According to some reports, 鈥渉uge flames danced for hours鈥 in the building, which is on the banks of the Moscow River.
said the blaze was visible from much of western Moscow and that firefighting helicopters had circled the building, dumping huge containers of water on the flames.
It added that the fire had affected the smaller of the building鈥檚 twin towers.
The said the fire had taken four hours to bring under control, but that there had been no reported injuries.
It said the cause was not yet clear.
