Some of the commission鈥檚 activity in May included:

• The exciting launch of the 好色先生TV the Future Commission鈥檚 own conference on 27th September in central London
• AI Week in which we explored how some firms are currently using artificial intelligence, predictions for future applications and whether AI is coming for your job - to follow up on some of those themes we are
• An in-depth feature about design codes and how they could help create the communities people want to live in.
• Insights from firms such as Balfour Beatty, NG Bailey and RLB that are working with the Manufacturing Technology Centre on 鈥渟andpit鈥� projects that use untried building methods that could be scaled up across government departments鈥� development pipelines
• Interviews with more industry leaders such as Taylor Wimpey鈥檚 Jennie Daly and Sir Michael Lyons at the English Cities Fund
• Reports from the first commissioner in-person meeting with views on how to improve the built environment and from our virtual get-together with our young persons鈥� advisory panel with valuable insights on pathways into construction

This month we are planning to:

• Interview innovative leaders making waves in the construction sector for our project delivery and digital stream
• Focus on key public sector pipelines of work, asking how opportunities can be unlocked and how construction can demonstrate a return on investment to clients under increasing financial pressure
• Explore radical plans to reform architectural education and whether they will be enough to restore faith in architects鈥� technical and leadership skills post-Grenfell
