The 好色先生TV the Future Commission has been hard at work, find out what鈥檚 happened over the past month
Some of the commission鈥檚 activity in May included:
- The exciting launch of the 好色先生TV the Future Commission鈥檚 own conference on 27th September in central London
- AI Week in which we explored how some firms are currently using artificial intelligence, predictions for future applications and whether AI is coming for your job - to follow up on some of those themes we are
- An in-depth feature about design codes and how they could help create the communities people want to live in.
- Insights from firms such as Balfour Beatty, NG Bailey and RLB that are working with the Manufacturing Technology Centre on 鈥渟andpit鈥 projects that use untried building methods that could be scaled up across government departments鈥 development pipelines
- Interviews with more industry leaders such as Taylor Wimpey鈥檚 Jennie Daly and Sir Michael Lyons at the English Cities Fund
- Reports from the first commissioner in-person meeting with views on how to improve the built environment and from our virtual get-together with our young persons鈥 advisory panel with valuable insights on pathways into construction
This month we are planning to:
- Interview innovative leaders making waves in the construction sector for our project delivery and digital stream
- Focus on key public sector pipelines of work, asking how opportunities can be unlocked and how construction can demonstrate a return on investment to clients under increasing financial pressure
- Explore radical plans to reform architectural education and whether they will be enough to restore faith in architects鈥 technical and leadership skills post-Grenfell
