Big civils firms to battle for Woolwich station and tunnel portal fit-out contracts
Balfour Beatty, Laing O’Rourke, Morgan Sindall and Vinci have been shortlisted for a £75m fit-out job for Crossrail.
The contractors will compete to fit-out a new station at Woolwich and the two portals where the trains exit the Crossrail tunnels running under the Thames at North Woolwich and Plumstead.
A successful bidder is expected to be named in autumn 2014 and work will begin on site in spring 2015.
