Contractor appoints new chief operating officers to its house building and interiors arms.
Contractor Willmott Dixon has appointed new chief operating officers to its house building and interiors arms.
Charlie Scherer (pictured), director for West and Wales at house builder Leadbitter, joins the firm as COO of Willmott Dixon Housing, while Mike Hart, currently director of Willmott Dixon Capital Works, will become COO of Willmott Dixon Interiors.
The firm said it expected the new appointments to drive the company鈥檚 growth in both markets.
Both Schere and Hart will report to John Frankiewicz, Willmott Dixon Capital Works Divisional chief executive.
Frankiewicz said: 鈥淐reating COOs for both our housing and interiors companies reinforces our structure with specialist leadership to complement our focus on work winning, excellence of operational delivery and customer satisfaction.
鈥淲e want to emerge from these tough trading conditions as a stronger more efficient business that has successfully 鈥榮tayed ahead of the curve鈥, been capable of spotting trends and of maximising market opportunities as they present themselves.鈥
Schere will be tasked with expanding the firm鈥檚 house building business, which currently delivers an average of 1,500 homes a year.
Hart will look for 鈥渢argeted growth鈥 in the interiors sector where the firm is already active in the commercial offices, education, hotel and retail segments.
