Timoleon underfloor heating has been specified for Anson primary school in Cricklewood, London

To meet the needs of a school environment, the heating specialist has balanced low water temperatures with closer pipe centres to ensure fast response to control signals.

A solid floor construction was used, with loops of Timoleon pipework fixed in position with staples driven into a layer of insulation material. Loop ends were then connected, via discreetly located manifolds, to the flow and return sides of the school’s new boiler plant. After pressure testing, a screed was poured to integrate the system into the floor structure and provide a smooth, even surface for the final vinyl floor finish.

For control purposes each of the three classrooms is set up as an independent zone. Supplies of warm water to the hidden pipework loops are modulated in response to the individual room thermostats.

The concealed system is safe and tamper-proof.
