The Pascall+Watson-designed new terminal will house all arrivals to the airport
Stansted Airport has been given the green light for its new £130m Arrivals Terminal by Uttlesford district council.
Designed by architecture practice Pascall+Watson the new 34,000 m2 terminal will hold all arrivals functions for the airport next door to the existing terminal, which will be reconfigured to solely house departure operations.
The development is part of the airport’s owners Manchester Airports Group’s improvement plans to support future growth and attract new passengers and airlines.
The scheme is expected to take up to three years to complete with additional improvements in the main terminal to be finished by 2022.
