Seven companies picked to lead on supply of multi-disciplinary services
Consultants Aecom, AHR and Capita are among seven firms that have been awarded lead places on the multi-disciplinary lot of the NHS London construction services procurement framework, worth up to £150m.
Fellow consultants Frankham, BDP, IBI Nightingale and Mott MacDonald have also netted lead roles.
Capita and Frankham are providing the full range of services on the multi-disciplinary lots that they are supplying. Aecom are providing a full suite of services bar architecture, which will be supplied by Boswell, Mitchell & Johnston.
BDP are teaming up with Sweet Group and AHR with WT Partnership and Mott MacDonald, even though the latter is leading its own consortium, which also includes architects Ryder and Watts.
The NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP) has recently issued two frameworks covering construction services and estate and facilities advisory services.
The construction services and estates and facilities advisory frameworks have estimated values of £100-150m and £3-20m respectively. Both frameworks run until 2018, with a review due in 2016.
Capita won places on the most single disciplinary lots (12) across both frameworks, followed by Gleeds and Arup, which both picked up eight. LPP awarded seven lots to EC Harris, six to Mott and five to both Artelia and the Watts Group.
Companies on the LPP framework will be able to use it to tender for projects worth up to £5m being procured by NHS trusts and clinical commissioning groups across London.
