Ex-Legacy body chair says favoured bidder for Olympic media centres must offer proof on employment promises
The preferred bidder to run the 拢295m former Olympic press and broadcast centres must prove it can create 4,000 jobs by January or risk losing out on the deal.
A consortium called iCity was made preferred bidder by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) in July.
However, former LLDC chair Daniel Moylan, speaking days before his removal from the role, said the board would not consider iCity鈥檚 bid unless it meets employment promises.
He said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e given them a generous period of time in order to show to us that they can provide that number of jobs.鈥
A LLDC spokesperson confirmed iCity had been set 鈥渟tretching targets鈥 but that the organisation was 鈥渇ully supportive鈥 of the bid.
