Consultant hopes to gain more local infrastructure jobs after work on 拢1m Odessa project
Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Odessa council to prepare the design and technical documentation and procurement services for a new sewerage system in Odessa, Ukraine.
The project, which will be funded by the World Bank, will complete the existing sewerage system in the south district of the city, which is working at capacity and as a result has created huge environmental issues for the local residents.
Mott MacDonald will oversee the preparation of designs, drawings, technical specifications and bills of quantities for the project. The consultancy will also provide pre-contract services and provide support in the bidding process for the selection of a contractor for the completion of the first package, which accounts for 4.9km of the sewerage system.

The project has a capital value of approximately 拢1 million and is due to be completed by February 2011.
