Administrator BDO seeks buyers for historic fit-out company
The 鈥渕ajority鈥� of historic contractor Killby & Gayford鈥檚 255 staff have been made redundant, administrator BDO has confirmed.
The 150-year-old contractor, famous for working on scores of prestigious projects including Number 10 Downing Street, .
BDO said it was in the process of seeking a 鈥渂uyer or buyers鈥� for the assets of the company.
The 拢77m turnover firm has four offices in Billericay, Cambridge, Clapham and Leeds.
Danny Dartnaill, BDO business restructuring partner, said: 鈥淯nfortunately the economic climate and difficult trading conditions significantly affected the business.
鈥淭he Joint Administrators are taking all necessary steps to mitigate losses and, going forward, will seek to maximise recoveries for the benefit of all creditors.鈥�
