Your chance to ask experts about best methods and practice for sustainable school refurbishments in a live online text debate that coincides with BSEC event
Experts on sustainability and education will debate the best solutions for green refurbishments of schools this week, and you have the chance to pose questions and post comments.
A live online text debate will be held on Wednesday 24 February at 2.30pm. This will coincide with the live BSEC conference and exhibition at London's ExCel centre.
Refurbishment is set to become more prevalent within the education sector as budgets are tightened under programmes such as the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV Schools for the Future and the Primary Capital Programme.
Design teams will also be under pressure to create low carbon solutions for projects, adding to the challenge of making great learning spaces under tight budget and design contraints.
The panel will consider how design teams are gearing up to meet such challenges for future education work.
The panel will include:
- Richard Woods, senior associate director Capita Architecture
- Matt Fulford, head of sustainability, EC Harris
- Emma Storey, Eight Associates
- Mark Siddall, Devereux Architects
