Scheme is aimed at family rented market
Plans by Assael Architecture for privately rented housing aimed at families has been given planning approval by Greenwich council.
Called Creekside Wharf, the scheme will feature a 21-storey block as well as a smaller, 10-storey building and will be built on a former industrial site in Deptford, south-east London.
The entire scheme will feature 249 units and the smaller block – featuring 60 two and three-bedroom homes – will be marketed solely for family use. It will include an on-site nursery and rooftop grow gardens. More than two-thirds of the site will be given over to landscaping and children’s play areas.
Developer Essential Living, is behind the plan and is hoping to roll out more than 5,000 rented homes across London and the south-east over the next decade.
A quarter of the scheme will be offered for discount market rent with work at the site due to finish at the end of 2017.
