Local architects Stallan-Brand unveil plans
Glasgow鈥檚 former BHS store is set to be transformed with a 拢75m redevelopment designed by local architects Stallan-Brand.
The building on Sauciehall Street was occupied by BHS for almost 50 years before the retailer鈥檚 collapse.
Property developer Formal Investments has submitted plans for a new scheme with office space for 1,750 workers.
Gleeds is managing the programme of works.
Stallan-Brand associate Patrick Wilson said: 鈥淔ormal Investment鈥檚 proposed redevelopment presents a unique opportunity to revitalise and transform the quality of the urban environment and public realm in this location, through the creation of new public spaces and improved and more appropriate mixed use activity.鈥
Formal Investments director Nicholas King said: 鈥淭his proposal shows a really exciting vision for an important site in Glasgow city centre and will provide the highest quality environments for retailers and businesses large and small.鈥
