Arup, CH2M, Mace and Turner & Townsend have won roles on Heathrow鈥檚 new runway plans.

The four have been chosen to work alongside Heathrow Airport Limited on its expansion plans.

Heathrow told 好色先生TV in December it would spend 拢4-5m on the packages in 2016. The roles may lead to further work if the government backs expansion of Heathrow over its rival Gatwick and construction work goes ahead.

The airport had been procuring consultants for four work packages on the new runway - programme management, information management, construction advice, and design and technical advice.

Commenting on his firm鈥檚 win, T&T chief executive Vincent Clancy said he was 鈥渄elighted鈥� to be supporting Heathrow in its expansion plans.

He added: 鈥淭he Airports Commission has made a clear recommendation and we now need the Government to stop stalling and give Heathrow permission to build an airport of which the country can be proud.鈥�

Jason Millett, chief operating officer for major programmes and infrastructure at Mace, said: 鈥淭his is a fantastic result for Mace and is a credit to the whole team.
