Transport for London seeking consultants for engineering and project management services for proposed mega-project
Transport for London has fired the starting gun on the race to provide engineering services on the 拢16bn Crossrail 2 project.
The transport body is seeking bids from members of its engineering and project management framework, which includes EC Harris, CH2M Hill, Arup and Atkins among its 32 members.
TfL is seeking firms to provide engineering feasibility, transport planning, environmental analysis and town planning.
The contracts are due to be let later this month and will entail working up plans for a planning application in 2017.
Crossrail 2 is planned to run from North-east to South-west London through a tunnel under the centre of the capital.
Last week, Mayor of London Boris Johnson and TfL put in a request to the government to safeguard the longer 鈥渕etro鈥 version of the route from Cheshunt to Epsom, Surbiton and Twickenham.
