Natura Pro fibre cement cladding from Marley Eternit has been used on the £23m Sir Thomas Wharton Community College in Doncaster
The cladding was specified by architect Race Cottam Associates partly because of its coating, which protects against staining, including that caused by graffiti. It also has a strong visual identity. The anthracite-coloured Natura Pro accentuates the flashes of blue, yellow and orange used on the insulated aluminium window panels.
The Natura Pro panels were installed on the school’s dance studio. A double-leaf cavity block wall was used to construct the studio, with the Natura Pro cladding acting as a rainscreen facade.
Natura Pro has a claimed life expectancy of around 50 years and a Class 0 fire performance.
