Ronacrete鈥檚 eight-day overlay admixture was used to speed up the drying time of a screed which was laid as part of an underfloor heating system installation during the holidays at Somersham Primary School in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The installation consisted of a damp proof membrane followed by insulation, hot water pipes and the screed, which protects the installation and provides a smooth surface for carpet. Ronacrete said a conventional sand and cement screed would take 21 weeks to dry out. It said the addition of the admixture reduced the drying time to three weeks.
