The London Legacy Development Corporation has also revealed it will deliver the scheme using a contract management approach
Facades specialists have been put on notice for 拢37m of work at the new 拢1.1bn East Bank cultural precinct in Stratford.
The scheme, which Mace was appointed to project manage earlier this year, is set to be home to V&A East, Sadler鈥檚 Wells East theatre, a new campus for the London College of Fashion and the BBC.
In a prior information notice published to the Official Journal, the London Legacy Development Company (LLDC) revealed the timeline and value of the four envelope packages which are set to be handed out as part of the project (pictured).
The first job, which is set to be procured in January, is a 拢17m package to deliver the pre-fabricated glazed facade at the new Allies and Morrison-designed London College of Fashion.
The search for a contractor to deliver the 拢13m second package of works, the envelope of V&A East, designed by O鈥橠onnell & Tuomey, as well as the new BBC building, is set to start next February. Allies and Morrison are also designing the BBC鈥檚 new home.
Both buildings are set to be clad in precast concrete panels with steel windows.
The third package of work, which will deliver both the envelope and roof at Sadler鈥檚 Wells East, is worth 拢6m and will be put to the market next April. The new theatre, which is also being designed by O鈥橠onnell Tuomey, is set to be brick clad.
The final package of works, which is worth 拢1m, will deliver the roof for the BBC and V&A East buildings.
The document also revealed the project, who鈥檚 first buildings are due to be opened in 2022, is set to be delivered using a construction management approach.
The LLDC said it would be hosting an industry day on 11 December to present the project and envelope contract opportunities.
