Far East Facade will construct curtain wall for 37-storey London tower
Chinese cladding firm Far East Facade has won its first skyscraper job to design and supply curtain walling for the 37-storey 鈥極ne the Elephant鈥 tower in south London.
Far East Facade 鈥 part of Far East Global, which worked on the world鈥檚 tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai 鈥 entered the UK market in 2011.
It won its first contract in March this year from contractor Bouygues to supply curtain walling at low-rise 71 Queen Victoria Street in London.
Squire and Partners-designed One the Elephant is the centrepiece of Lend Lease鈥檚 massive regeneration of the Elephant & Castle area of London.
Managing director of Far East Facade, Peter Walker, said: 鈥淥ne the Elephant is a fantastic opportunity to further demonstrate Far East Fa莽ade鈥檚 capabilities in the UK market.
